Jason Roy Smashes Highest Score in PSL History
In a recent match between Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League, Jason Roy managed to smash his way into the record books with an unbelievable 145 not out from just 63 balls.

Roy and His Team’s Performance
But Roy’s incredible performance wasn’t just about breaking records – it was also about winning the match. Peshawar Zalmi had batted first and posted an imposing total of 240, with Pakistan’s Babar Azam hitting a stunning 115 from 65 balls. It was a total that seemed almost impossible to chase down, but Roy had other ideas.
From the very first ball of the innings, Roy showed his intent by smashing a boundary, and he never looked back.
He broke record after record, passing the previous highest score in the PSL, which was set by Colin Ingram in 2019, and ultimately leading his team to a remarkable victory.
Roy’s innings were an extraordinary achievement, but it wasn’t just about individual brilliance. He was ably supported by his teammates, who made important contributions as they chased down the mammoth total. Martin Guptill, Will Smeed, and Mohammad Hafeez all played their part, but it was Roy who truly stole the show.

Other Records Achieved in the Match
While Roy showed an amazing performance, he is not the only one to achieve records in the match. Babar Azam, one of the biggest names in the world of cricket and the new captain of Peshawar Zalmi, hit his first PSL century, the eighth of his T20 career.
Azam’s innings were nothing short of spectacular, with the right-handed opener smashing his way to 115 runs off just 60 balls. With 15 fours and three sixes, his innings helped Peshawar Zalmi post a mammoth total of 240-2. He also became the fourth player in T20 history to score eight or more centuries, joining Chris Gayle, David Warner, and Aaron Finch.
Aside from this, the 240-2 posted by Peshawar Zalmi was the fourth-highest team score in PSL history, while Quetta Gladiators’ 243-2 was the highest-ever successful chase in PSL history. The match also saw the second-highest partnership in PSL history, with Babar Azam and Saim Ayub’s 162-run opening stand.
Following this amazing match, Peshawar Zalmi will play against the Multan Sultans on March 10. The Quetta Gladiators will also play against the Multan Sultans on March 11.
