There was an unexpected incident after Ghana’s 3-2 victory against South Korea. A member of Ghana’s coaching staff was caught snapping a selfie when his colleagues were consoling a tearful Son Heung-min.
When the staff member snapped the photo, another coaching staff member quickly told the man to put his mobile phone away, allowing the South Korea player to have a moment to compose himself. The moment was caught and shared on Twitter and has since gotten thousands of responses.

In the interviews held after the match, assistant Sergio Costa took over as a media representative for South Korea. When questioned about Son Heung-min’s emotional response to the team’s loss, the assistant stated, “We gave our souls on the pitch. It’s a normal reaction from someone who did all they could to win.”
Following this loss, South Korea will need to beat Portugal to qualify for the Round of 16.
