Latest WTC Points Table Shows England’s Slow Rise

An updated WTC (World Test Cricket) Points table was posted following Pakistan’s loss against England. With Pakistan having lost a second time in the series, they are now sixth in the rankings while England rises up to fifth.

England has so far earned an impressive number of points at 112 and currently has nine wins. The reason they are in fifth place is due to losing eight matches and having a 44.44 percentage of points. While Pakistan has a total of five times now in the WTC series, they have a chance to improve their standing in their two-match away Test series against Bangladesh this month.

While England and Pakistan’s spots in the WTC rankings have shifted, India remains in fourth place. However, if India gets a 2-0 win in their next match, it will improve their chances of making the WTC Final for the second straight season.

Currently standing at number one in the rankings is Australia with only 1 loss, 108 points, and a 75 percentage of points. Bangladesh, on the other hand, is standing at the bottom of the rankings with only one win and eight losses. Fortunately, the team still has a chance of redemption since the WTC will be running until the end of March 2023.
