Pakistan Defeats New Zealand and Marches to the Finals

After an intense match, Pakistan makes it to the finals. Fans cheered for the team as they won by 7 wickets and now await England or India in the finals on Sunday, November 13th

New Zealand won the toss and chose to bat. The Pakistani bowlers were brilliant in taking out 3 wickets and conceding only 49 runs. Daryl Mitchell then came on and carried the team with his half-century giving New Zealand a final score of 152/4.

Pakistan knew that they needed a strong start to chase down 152 runs and opening duo of Babar Azam and Muhammad Rizwan gave them exactly that. They combined for 105 runs with both batters scoring half centuries.

Pakistan then needed only 48 runs from 44 balls to secure victory and Mohammad Harris, Shan Masood and Iftikar Ahmed delivered.

This win against New Zealand marks an amazing achievement for Pakistan after a rough start in the Super 12. Now all eyes are on the next semi-final match between India and England at the Adelaide Oval.
