Ravindra Jadeja Promoted to A+ Category by BCCI

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced its latest round of player contracts, and there’s plenty to celebrate. Perhaps the most exciting news is that all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been promoted to the highest grade of annual contracts after his stunning performances since returning from injury.

Jadeja is now in the same category as Indian cricket heavyweights like captain Rohit Sharma, superstar Virat Kohli, and pace ace Jasprit Bumrah. This means he’ll be earning an annual salary of $850,000 – not bad for a day’s work!

The BCCI announced the full list of players in the A, B, and C categories for the period from October 2022 to September 2023. It’s always a highly anticipated announcement, and this year was no exception.

Jadeja’s promotion is well-deserved. The left-arm spinner and aggressive batsman took 22 wickets and scored 135 runs in a recent four-Test series against Australia. He kept up his excellent form in the three ODIs that followed, proving himself as a true all-rounder in every sense of the word.

Unfortunately, not every player had such good news. Senior batsman KL Rahul was dropped from the A ($607,000) to the B ($364,000) category after a disappointing showing with the bat in the Test matches. He made just 38 runs in two matches before being dropped.

But it’s not all bad news for the other players. Jadeja’s spin twin Axar Patel has been promoted to grade A, along with Hardik Pandya. It’s a well-deserved promotion for Patel, who has shown excellent form in recent matches.

Overall, Indian cricket fans have plenty to look forward to in the coming months. With the country’s best players now earning top salaries, they’ll be more motivated than ever to give their all on the pitch. Let’s hope this translates into some epic performances and plenty of wins for the Indian cricket team!
