Bangladesh Announces T20 Squad Against Ireland

Get ready cricket fans, because the Bangladesh Cricket Board has announced their 14-member squad for the upcoming three-match Twenty20 international series against Ireland, and there are some exciting changes in store!

Unfortunately, middle-order batter Afif Hossain and wicketkeeper-batter Nurul Hasan Sohan didn’t make the cut this time around. Afif has struggled to find his form lately and even missed out on the third and final one-day international against Ireland. But there’s no need to worry, as two uncapped players – leg-spinner Rishad Hossain and stumper-batter Jaker Ali Anik – have been included in the squad for the series against the Irish side.

And that’s not all – fast bowler Shoriful Islam is making his return to the T20I fold after last playing for Bangladesh in November last year against India in the T20 World Cup. This 21-year-old pacer is sure to bring some much-needed energy and enthusiasm to the squad.

Of course, there are some familiar faces that we can rely on as well. The team will be led by none other than the legendary all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, who will undoubtedly bring his A-game to the pitch. The rest of the squad includes Litton Kumer Das, Rony Talukdar, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Towhid Hridoy, Shamim Hossain, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Nasum Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, Hasan Mahmud, and Taskin Ahmed.

But the real question on everyone’s mind is: when and where will we get to see this squad in action? The three-match T20I series is set to begin on March 27, with the second and third matches scheduled for March 29 and 31. All three games will be played at Chittagong’s Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.

So mark your calendars and get ready for some thrilling cricket action as Bangladesh takes on Ireland in this upcoming T20I series. With a mix of experienced players and fresh new talent, this squad is sure to bring their best to the pitch and make their country proud. Let’s go, Bangladesh!
