The Bangladesh Tigers cricket team began the intensive three-week training camp in Chattogram, Bangladesh. The team has chosen the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium (ZACS) as their training ground, preparing for the highly anticipated third and final One Day International (ODI) match against Afghanistan.

According to officials from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), the team is expected to return to Dhaka on August 1st. The camp consists of a total of 24 members, although four of them, including Soumya Sarkar and Mahedi Hasan, are currently participating in the Emerging Asia Cup held in Sri Lanka. They will join the camp once their commitments in the tournament are fulfilled.

The initial days of the training camp will primarily focus on fitness sessions to ensure that the players are in optimal physical condition. Following these sessions, the team will transition into a skills camp led by the esteemed head coach of the Bangla Tigers, Sohel Islam. The training sessions will be further enhanced by the expertise of batting consultant Jamie Siddons and fast-bowling coach Champaka Ramanayake, who will oversee and assist the players in honing their respective skills.

As stated by a BCB official, “The camp initially had 24 players on the roster, but due to the Emerging Asia Cup, four of them are currently away in Sri Lanka. As a result, we have 20 cricketers participating in the camp at the moment.”

Excitement and enthusiasm filled the air as the team members gathered before their departure for the training camp. Mosaddek Hossain, along with Yasir Ali, Abu Haider Rony, and a few others, shared a photo on social media, capturing the moment before they embarked on this crucial phase of their preparation.
