NAMIBIA SUFFERS HEARTBREAKING LOSS

Many were excited to see Namibia go against UAE following their memorable win against Sri Lanka. Hopes were high that Namibia would reach the Super 12s. Unfortunately, UAE dashed their hopes by defeating Namibia by 7 runs. This narrow win by UAE was made possible by Muhammad Waseem with 50 runs out of 41 balls.

UAE won the toss and batted first. They started cautiously but by the 15th over, led by Waseem’s half century the runs started to add up. UAE scored 148/3 and turned to bowl.

Namibia started off poorly and were at 16/2 after three overs. David Weise and Ruben Trumpelmann led a late surge for Namibia reducing the target runs needed to 20 but in the end came up short.

It was UAE’s first ever win in the T20 World Cup and one that Namibia fans would sorely remember.
