South Africa Defeats India By 5 Wickets

In  a relatively low-scoring game, South Africa’s Aiden Markram and David Miller combined for a total of 111 runs to snub out India’s comeback. Bowler Lungi Ngidi had reduced India’s total runs to just 133 by taking out Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandaya.

Suryakumar Yadav then carried the team and reached a half century with his total of 68 runs. It was not enough in the end as Miller hit a 4 in the last over to seal the game for South Africa.

South Africa now sit at the top for Group 2 with 5 points and are looking confident to seal their semi final spot. India on the other hand need to defeat Bangladesh tomorrow to stay in the running for the second semi final spot from Group 2.
