In a wonderful gesture to celebrate International Women’s Day, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced free entry for all in the Gujarat Giants vs Royal Challengers Bangalore match.
International Women’s Day is celebrated annually to promote women’s rights movements, and gender equality, and to prevent violence and abuse against women. This year, the United Nations has declared the theme for the day as DigiALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality.

The announcement for free tickets was made during the Mumbai Indians VS Royal Challengers Bangalore game on a giant screen, much to the delight of the fans.
This announcement follows the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s decision to allow free entry for women and girls in all WPL matches in order to promote women’s cricket in India.
