The announcement for free tickets was made during the Mumbai Indians VS Royal Challengers Bangalore game on a giant screen, much to the delight of the fans.
This announcement follows the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s decision to allow free entry for women and girls in all WPL matches in order to promote women’s cricket in India. The response so far has been excellent, with packed stadiums and enthusiastic crowds cheering on the women cricketers.
The match is set to take place on Wednesday, March 8, and is already free for girls and women, with male entrants being charged INR 100 per person. However, on this special day, all tickets will be free of cost for male attendees as well, subject to seat availability.
