England Gets Ready for a Must-Win Match Against New Zealand

Tensions are high for England in their upcoming match against New Zealand in Brisbane. Having lost against Ireland and dropping three points from their opening three matches, the team must win or face an early tournament exit.

With how dramatically they lost against New Zealand in the last T20 World Cup, they’ll need to be at their best to stay at this World Cup. According to coach Paul Collingwood in a Monday interview, “Tomorrow hopefully kick-starts our momentum and if we can put in a good performance tomorrow, then it will give us a lot of confidence for the last three games.”

New Zealand on the other hand, has so far had a strong Super 12 campaign. Even if they were to lose to England, the Kiwis still have a strong chance for qualification thanks to their net run rate.

There are plenty of predictions on how the match will go. As a must-win match for England, eyes are on players like Jos Buttler and Sam Curran to perform. Fans can definitely look forward to a close match.
