Litton Das’ Words on the IPL
In a recent interview, Das shared his thoughts about his first IPL stint, admitting that he may not play all the matches but is determined to learn and gain experience by playing with the team. He believes playing in the league will benefit Bangladesh players in the long run by giving them exposure and a chance to grow.
Litton also said that he would miss Shakib Al Hasan in the IPL. He had said, “Of course, it would be very nice. We could have been together, we would have shared everything, and it would have been nice. But for some reason, he may have removed himself from the IPL. I am going to miss him.”
Before leaving the country, Litton had asked for the support of fans from both countries. He added, “I think supporters will be with us all the time. Hope something good will happen. This is my first visit to the IPL. Of course, it feels good. I am happy I have not set any goals for myself. I will play well if I get a chance.”
Shakib’s Words of Advice
Before Litton Das joined KKR, he and Shakib Al Hasan were originally going to join the IPL together. However, Shakib opted out of the series due to “family reasons.” Recently, the player was interviewed regarding the IPL.
Shakib revealed that he hasn’t been following the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) matches and joked about being in the Tigers’ squad for their upcoming Ireland series in the United Kingdom. The all-rounder, who is currently playing for Mohammedan in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL), stated that he is focused on the DPL and hasn’t had much time to watch the IPL.
When asked if he gave any advice to Liton Das, who is now part of the KKR squad, Shakib said he didn’t talk about the IPL with him. He added, “What I want is for Liton to enjoy his game if he gets a chance.”
Now, fans are eagerly waiting for the KKR vs. SunRisers Hyderabad match on April 14th. It will be interesting to see how the team performs with their new players in the mix.
KKR supporters hope that Litton Das’ debut IPL season will be a memorable one and that he makes an impact in the games he plays.
