Rajasthan Royals’ star youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal has reached a major milestone in his Indian Premier League (IPL) career, crossing the 1000-run mark in the tournament. The 21-year-old achieved the feat in the ongoing 2023 edition of the tournament, becoming the second-youngest batter to do so, after Rishabh Pant.

Jaiswal, who made his IPL debut for the Royals in 2020, took 34 innings to reach the 1000-run mark. He has been in tremendous form this season, scoring 477 runs in 11 matches so far, and is currently the second-highest run-scorer in the tournament. He has beaten a host of top IPL stars, including Prithvi Shaw, Shubman Gill, and Sanju Samson, to become the second-youngest batter to reach the milestone.

Last Record by a Young Star

Sanju Samson, captain of the Rajasthan Royals, became the first player in the Indian Premier League (IPL) to reach the milestone of scoring 3,000 runs for a single franchise. He achieved this impressive feat during RR’s match against Gujarat Titans on Sunday.

During the match, Samson had proved his worth as he scored 60 runs off just 32 balls, including three fours and six sixes, with an incredible strike rate of 187.50. His performance helped RR chase down a target of 178 runs.

In addition to reaching 3,000 runs, he hit six sixes in his innings, becoming the first Indian batsman to smash six or more sixes in an innings six times in the IPL. Samson had joined the likes of Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers, and Andre Russell in an elite list of players who had hit six or more sixes in an innings most times.
