The net run rate also favored the Tigers, giving them the edge over their opponents.

In the other group, the teams competing for the remaining semi-final spots were India A, Pakistan A, the United Arab Emirates A side, and Nepal. Powerhouses of subcontinental cricket, India, and Pakistan, had already secured their berths in the semi-finals by winning their first two matches. On the contrary, Nepal and the UAE were still in search of their maiden victories.

As per the tournament structure, Bangladesh A, having secured the runners-up position in their group, would now face the winner of Group B in the semi-finals. On the other hand, Sri Lanka A, emerging as the pool champions with an impressive performance against Oman, would clash with the runners-up from the same group.
