The Lanka Premier League (LPL) kicked off with the exciting encounter between defending champions, Jaffna Kings and Colombo Strikers, on a sunny Sunday afternoon. The match featured some amazing performances, but it was the young Bangladesh sensation, Towhid Hridoy, who stole the limelight with an explosive half-ton on his overseas franchise cricket debut that boosted the Jaffna Kings against the Colombo Strikers.
Having been asked to bat first, Jaffna Kings took the crease with Hridoy displaying an exceptional level of composure and maturity.
