The Delhi Capitals(DC) and Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) are set to battle it out in the Indian Premier League (IPL) on April 20, with both teams looking to make their mark in the tournament. The Capitals have yet to win a game in the competition so far and will be hoping to turn things around with a victory against the Knight Riders.

For fans of Bangladesh cricket, this game is particularly exciting, as it offers the chance to see two of the country’s stars in action on the same team. Liton Das and Mustafizur Rahman both play for the Knight Riders, although Liton has yet to make his IPL debut.

Mustafizur, meanwhile, has not been at his best so far this season but will be looking to make a bigger impact in this game.

DC and KKR Status

Despite Kolkata’s recent form, with two losses in a row, they are still the favorites to win this game. However, the team may need to make some changes to their playing eleven to give themselves the best chance of success. Fans will be hoping that Liton is given the chance to make his debut, as he could provide the team with some much-needed firepower.

Both teams have been struggling with their batting in different ways. Delhi has found it difficult to score runs in the early stages of their innings, while Kolkata has struggled in the death overs. Whichever team can address these issues and improve their batting performance will have a strong chance of coming out on top.

Past Doubts from the BCB

Before the announcement of the matches between the teams, it was reported that Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Nazmul Hassan Papon was not surprised to see Mustafizur Rahman and Liton Das sitting on the bench instead of playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

“Everyone knows that they won’t play. Even the players also knew they won’t get any game,” Papon said while distributing food and grocery packs to the less fortunate people, arranged by the BCB on Monday.

Mustafizur struggled in the two games he played, conceding a lot of runs and contributing to his team’s defeats. Meanwhile, Liton was yet to make his IPL debut as the Knight Riders continued to play Afghan recruit Rahmanullah Gurbaz, who was out of form.

Another Bangladeshi player, Shakib Al Hasan, had opted out of the IPL citing family reasons.

Although the BCB President couldn’t watch IPL regularly due to the timing coinciding with Tarabi prayer, he tried to follow when Delhi or KKR played a game.

Currently, KKR is 7th in the league standings with two wins out of five matches and four points. Meanwhile, DC is struggling with zero wins and zero points so far.

Overall, the upcoming match promises to be an exciting game for fans of IPL and Bangladesh cricket. With both teams looking to improve on their recent form, there is sure to be plenty of drama and excitement on display at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
